Wine Sessions was born in spring 2013, when Emily O'Hare, Sophie Dening and Zeren Wilson found themselves thirsty as they took part in food and wine talks at at TOAST Festival in Shoreditch. Over drinks, they decided to put on their own day of talks for the public, one during which you'd always have a glass in your hand, and never hear about an interesting wine without getting to taste it. With help from Miranda and Sarah of Toast, Jonathan Downey and an all-star cast of wine world talent, they put on the first Wine Sessions in Clerkenwell in November: a day-long celebration of talks and tastings featuring Jancis Robinson, Tutto Wines, Sager + Wilde, James Lowe, Ruth Spivey, Joe Wadsack and Tom Harrow, among others.

Wine Sessions, taking place on Saturday 7 June, at the end of London Wine Week, features The Guardian's Fiona Beckett, Doug Wregg of Caves de Pyrène, critic Jamie Goode, Telegraph and Olive wine writer Victoria Moore, The Independent's Anthony Rose, Richard Hemming of jancisrobinson.com, Michael Sager-Wilde, Charlie Young of Vinoteca, Courtney Stebbings from Lyle's, Mayfields chef Matthew Young and Jack Lewens of Skye Gyngell's Spring, set to open in autumn.

Talks are all £20, except for Rad Food Matching at £40. First talk starts at 12 noon, and our bar opens at 12.30pm. Entry to the bar (Quality Chop House, Passione Vino, Noble Fine Liquor) and bookstore (Material Gallery) is free. London Wine Sessions is in partnership with www.wateraid.org, and www.londonwineweek.com. Our floral sponsor is rebelrebel.co.uk of Broadway Market.
